Double Chocolate Brownie

I can't believe that me, the lover of all things chocolate, has not posted a brownie recipe yet! This is a great basic recipe-- if you have ever thought you can't do brownies from scratch, here is your place to start. Even as easy as it is, it is incredible!  The first time this recipe was made, my mom and I ate the whole pan! Shh.. that's our little secret!

Ingredients:
1 Cup Butter
4 oz Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
2 Cups Sugar

1 t Vanilla (Mexican Vanilla)

4 Eggs
1 Cup Flour
2 Cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Stirring constantly, melt the unsweetened baking chocolate and butter in a heavy sauce pan over medium heat until the chocolate is melted. Cool slightly. In a large bowl combine sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add melted chocolate to sugar mixture. Add the flour and stir to combine. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread into a buttered 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Do not overcook. Cool. Eat, Eat, Eat!

Tips:

I called this a basic recipe, because this can be dressed up a number of ways: add broken up peanut butter cups, make a mint brownie, with a mint filling and this yummy ganache on top- you get the idea.

Don't over think this recipe, it's an easy throw together, that comes out FANTASTIC!
