Cream Cheese Frosting


1 Pound Cream Cheese

2 Sticks Butter, softened 

1 t Vanilla Extract 

4 Cups Powdered Sugar


Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla together until smooth. Add powdered sugar and on low speed beat until incorporated. Increase speed to high and beat until light and fluffy. To add "stiffness" to your frosting, add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency. 

Decorating Tips:

Remember to freeze your cake before you frost. 

Pile frosting on top of cake and use spatula to push over the edge. 

Just like painting, work in coats-- the first is not going to be perfect (put back in freezer and allow to become firm) take more time with the second coat. 

Frost in one direction-- try to avoid any back and forth motions (this will pick up cake bits in the frosting-- not so cute!)
